Privacy Notice
Effective date: February 27, 2026
Last updated: February 27, 2026
1. Overview
BrieflyAI summarizes web articles in Safari. This notice explains what data is processed, how it is used, and your choices.
2. Information We Process
To generate summaries, BrieflyAI may process:
- Article title and page URL
- Visible article text from the current Safari tab
- Your summary-length preference (concise, balanced, detailed)
3. How Processing Works
BrieflyAI is designed to use on-device Apple Intelligence for summarization. This means article content is processed locally on your device when supported and enabled.
4. Data Sharing
BrieflyAI does not sell personal data and does not use your article content for advertising. We do not operate user-tracking profiles in the app.
5. Data Storage
BrieflyAI stores only minimal app preferences needed for functionality (for example, your selected summary length). Article text used for summarization is not intended to be stored as long-term user history by BrieflyAI.
6. Permissions
Safari extension permissions are used to access the active page so the app can generate summaries. You control extension enablement in iOS Settings and Safari extension controls.
7. Children’s Privacy
BrieflyAI is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us to request deletion.
8. Changes to This Notice
We may update this notice as the product evolves. Material updates will be reflected by updating the date above.
